Ms. O’Brien is a Team Lead for Red Five Privacy Labs. She has been with Red Five since February 2020, her role growing from an Open Source Intelligence Analyst to a Targeter, now serving as a Team Lead. Over the past two years, she has identified, assessed, and mitigated threats for Silicon Valley clients in both the English and Spanish languages. Ms. O’Brien is passionate about community service, and in 2020 she served as the Assistant Program Manager for Red Hands Helping, the philanthropic arm of Red Five. Ms. O’Brien also has experience working for the United States Senate and in the cybersecurity industry.
Prior to joining Red Five, Ms. O’Brien attended American University in Washington, D.C., where she earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a focus in Foreign Policy and National Security. In addition to time spent living and studying in Japan and Italy, Ms. O’Brien was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Ecuador in 2012-2013
