Denise Manning - Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Denise Manning is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Red 5 Holdings, Inc. Ms. Manning reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and has overall operational responsibility for all corporate operations and client facing programs. Ms. Manning collaborates and works with Heather Nickerson, our Chief Growth and Strategy officer (CGSO), the part-time CFO, other presidents and vice presidents and the entire Red Five Team.
Ms. Manning has held leadership positions in organizations of all sizes compiling 30-plus years of management experience in commercial, federal and state programs and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Red Five team. For the past five years Ms. Manning has worked with small businesses in a growth advisory capacity.
Prior to her advisory work Ms. Manning spent 10 years working for G&B Solutions, a small business focusing on government security. Ms. Manning started as a Director of Operations, advanced to COO, and ended her career at G&B as the Group President. During her tenure at G&B she was responsible for over 30 contracts, 450 staff, and was an integral player in growing the company from $2M to $52M in revenue.
Ms. Manning had operational responsibility for all services to include the security practice that constituted 25 percent of the business. The security services within her portfolio included security operations, IT security, penetration testing, security control review, SOC operations, incident response, threat & vulnerability management and compliance. The IT services under her responsibility included software development, data center management, asset management, lean six sigma and clinical trials.
Ms. Manning also worked for Northrop Grumman for 18 years in various management capacities, and held positions at Fairfax Imaging, a document and remittance processing solutions provider; and BIAP Systems, a provider of interactive television (iTV) solutions.
Ms. Manning has a BA in MIS, will have a M.S. in Security Management, and is PMP certified.
