Nick Gicinto serves as Executive Vice President at Red Five, responsible for overseeing the company’s Operations and Consulting practices. He possesses over 17 years of experience in private sector security and the intelligence community. Nick’s career has focused on security and intelligence consulting, security program building, insider threat, and blockchain and cryptocurrency investigations.
Prior to joining Red Five, Nick was the Vice President of Security Intelligence at Chainlink Labs, a web3 Smart Contract software company. His earlier experience came as an Operations Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). During his tenure at the CIA, Nick completed five tours focused on issues such as counterterrorism, counterproliferation, and counterintelligence. He later built the first insider threat and intelligence programs at Uber and Tesla, before building the incident, investigations, and intelligence (i3) program at RiskIQ—now owned by Microsoft.
Nick obtained his MS degree in Defense and Strategic Studies at Missouri State University and his BA in Political Science from William Jewell College. He is currently an adjunct professor of Political Science at William Jewell College, teaching a course on cyber conflict and intelligence.
